LG G Pad 8.3 Google Play Edition now available in Google Play Store
LG has released a Google Play Edition of the LG G Pad 8.3. The tablet will be available for only $349 on the store and like other Google Play Edition devices, it will receive faster updates than its non-Play edition counterparts.
The LG G Pad Google Edition sports the same specifications as the international version with an 8.3-inch 1920 x 1200 display, Snapdragon 600 processor, 2GB of RAM, and will run the latest version of Android 4.4 KitKat.
President and CEO of LG Dr. Jong-seok Park spoke of Google and the tablet:
LG’s working relationship with Google has always been strong and our collaboration on the first-ever Google Play Edition tablet is proof of that commitment. The LG G Pad 8.3 Google Play Edition is a device with hardware and software that has been optimized for a truly consumer-friendly experience. There’s nothing else like it out there in the marketplace.
The LG G Pad 8.3 Google Play Edition is now available for purchase in the Google Play store for $349 and ships in 1 to 2 days. At this point there is no word on whether or not this tablet will be available outside of the U.S. but we don’t see why not
